Jennie L. Pippenger, age 92, a resident of New Canaan for over 50 years died Friday, February 26, 2010 at home. Born in Plymouth, Iowa November 29, 1917 she was the daughter of the late Edward L. and Jeanne Southworth Tanner. Jennie was the wife of the late Clarence R. Pippenger who die in 2007. She had been a longtime member of the United Methodist Church of New Canaan.
She is survived by a son, Richard A. Pippenger of Danbury, CT
Two daughters, Jeanne L. Bech of New Canaan and Phyllis A. Jensen of Colorado Springs, Co
7 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren also survive.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday March 5, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church, South Avenue, New Canaan with Interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
