| Richard J. Grasso, Sr., 77 of Stamford, died January 20, 2010 at his home.
Born February 8, 1932 in New Canaan, he was the son of the late Antonio & Lucia Altieri Grasso. He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served with the US Army for two years as a sergeant. He worked for various building supply companies before partnering with his brother Anthony in the paving business. He is survived by his wife, Nancy LaVoie Grasso of Stamford, his 4 sons, Richard J. Grasso, Jr, of Seatle, WA, Peter Timothy Grasso, John Grasso of Stamford and Paul Grasso of Durham, CT. 1 daughter, Faith Grasso of Florida. 3 brothers, Leonard Pagliano of Stamford, John Pagliano of Norwalk and Anthony P. Grasso of New Canaan. 3 sisters, Carmella DeLong of Florida, Grace R. Grasso and Cecelia Grasso, both of New Canaan. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 25, 2010 at St. Aloysius Church, New Canaan at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery, Darien.
